The Trust’s prime objective is to preserve, for the benefit of future generations, a commercial motor museum and to promote the permanent preservation of commercial motor vehicles manufacturered and sold by the British motor industry.
The Museum Trustees – chosen to provide a range of expertise reflecting both the operation and manufacture of Trucks and Buses – determine collection policy. They seek to mark the role of Leyland in the development of the British commercial vehicle and to maintain a representative display of vehicles of special significance in the development of the British commercial vehicle industry.
Another main objective of the Trust is to ensure the widest possible access and visibility for the Collection.
